Lobbi ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information when you use the Lobbi mobile application ("App"). By using Lobbi, you consent to the practices described in this policy.

  1. Information We Collect

a) Information You Provide

When you create a Lobbi account and use the App, we collect your email address and display name, gaming persona selection and personality preferences, platform IDs (Steam, PSN, Xbox, Nintendo), top games, weekly play schedule, and voice chat preferences, gamertags (shared only when both users agree to exchange), profile pictures you upload, and interests and personality traits.

b) Information Generated Through Use

During your use of Lobbi, we automatically collect match interactions (reveals, accepts, dismissals, connections), Vibe Chat messages (reactions, session proposals, session responses, gamertag exchanges), session ratings (star ratings, thumbs up/down, vibe checks), compatibility scores and leaderboard data, and block and report actions.

c) Device and Technical Information

We collect push notification tokens (Expo Push Tokens), device type and operating system, app version, and general usage analytics (screen views, feature engagement).

d) Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect precise geolocation data. We do not access your contacts, camera roll, or microphone (except when you explicitly choose to upload a profile photo). We do not collect financial or payment card information (payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google).

We use the information we collect to create and manage your account, generate compatible daily match suggestions based on persona, games, platforms, schedule, and voice preferences, facilitate Vibe Chat messaging between connected users, calculate compatibility scores, vibe levels, and leaderboard rankings, process and manage subscription entitlements, send push notifications about new matches, messages, sessions, and daily reminders, enforce our Terms of Service (blocking, reporting, moderation), improve our matchmaking algorithms and App experience, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.

  1. Information Sharing and Disclosure

a) With Other Lobbi Users

We share limited profile information with other users. Your display name, persona, vibe level, rating, and play-again percentage are visible to matched users. Your top games, platforms, and play schedule are visible to matched users. Vibe Chat messages are visible only to the specific connected user. Gamertags are shared only when both users mutually accept a gamertag exchange. Your profile picture is visible to matched users and on the leaderboard.

b) With Service Providers

We use the following third-party service providers who may process your data: Firebase (Google Cloud) for authentication, database storage, and file storage; RevenueCat for subscription and in-app purchase management; and Expo (Expo Application Services) for push notifications and over-the-air updates. These providers process data on our behalf and are contractually bound to protect your information.

c) What We Do Not Do

We do not sell your personal data to third parties, share your data with advertisers, use your data for targeted advertising, or share your information with data brokers.

d) Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

  1. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers (Google Cloud Platform). We employ industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access on a per-user, per-collection basis, secure authentication via Firebase Auth, storage rules limiting file uploads to authenticated users with size restrictions, and no plaintext storage of passwords (handled by Firebase Auth).

While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

  1. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with our services.

When you delete your account, your profile data, match history, messages, ratings, and uploaded files (profile pictures) are permanently and irreversibly deleted, your push notification tokens are removed, anonymized aggregated data (e.g., overall platform statistics) may be retained for analytics, and data in active reports or investigations may be retained until the matter is resolved.

We may also retain certain data as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., fraud prevention).

  1. Your Rights and Choices

a) All Users

You have the right to access your personal data within the App (Profile and Settings screens), update or correct your information at any time via Edit Profile, delete your account and all associated data (Profile > Settings > Delete Account), opt out of push notifications via your device settings, block other users to prevent future matches and interactions, request a copy of your data by contacting support@lobbi.gg, and withdraw consent for data processing by deleting your account.

b) European Users (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): the right of access to request a copy of your personal data, the right to rectification to request correction of inaccurate data, the right to erasure to request deletion of your data, the right to restrict processing, the right to data portability to request your data in a structured machine-readable format, the right to object to processing of your data for certain purposes, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Our legal bases for processing your data are performance of our contract with you, your consent, and our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App.

c) California Users (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) provide you with additional rights: the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and share; the right to delete your personal information; the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell your personal information); and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use or share sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA/CPRA.

  1. Children's Privacy

Lobbi is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected data from a child under 13, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@lobbi.gg.

  1. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including the United States, where our service providers (Google/Firebase) maintain servers. By using Lobbi, you consent to the transfer of your information to these countries.

We ensure that any international transfers of personal data are conducted in compliance with applicable data protection laws.

  1. Push Notifications

We use Expo Push Notifications to send you alerts about new matches, messages, session updates, and daily reminders. You can disable push notifications at any time through your device settings or toggle daily match reminders on or off within the App (Settings). Disabling notifications will not affect your ability to use the App.

  1. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain references to third-party services or platforms (e.g., Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Nintendo). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party services. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via push notification, in-app notice, or email. The "Last Updated" date at the top will be revised accordingly.

Your continued use of Lobbi after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
